Cincinnati’s Corporate sneaker boutique moved to a larger store front and turned to my team to create a dynamic customer experience, the likes of which the city has never seen.

Corporate is a premium sneaker boutique located in Cincinnati Ohio. With a ten year anniversary looming they were looking to make a splash with a new storefront.

Through a deep dive exploration of sneaker culture and Corporate’s business model in particular, we identified a major pain point. The sneaker brands put a lot of pressure on the independent retails to create custom activation for each shoe release. These prove costly, time consuming, and often underwhelming.

We used this insight to direct a retail experience that was engaging for the consumer, drove traffic to Corporate’s social media, allowed rapid deployment of brand assets, AND provides tracking and cataloging of in-store consumer behaviors.

The focal point of our design is this shoe wall with an integrated 30’ digital display. Fed into this display is an array of motion capture cameras which allow consumers to interact with the programming on the screens.

This format provides several advantages over static decor.

1. The digital nature allows for rapid deployment of partner brand assets, whether its Nike, Bape, or Billionaire Boys Club content can be sent from anywhere in the world and deployed with the click of a button.

2. Consumers are provided with a unique interactive experience that draws them back into the space and refocuses attention on the sneaker stock.

3. The back end system driving the motion capture cameras can track costumers in-store and can generate heat maps showing which pieces are generating the most consumer engagement.
